TECHNOLOGY UNLEASHES A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES, SUCH AS REMOTE WORK
We think in possibilities, without limits. It doesn't matter where you work from, as long as you can make a meaningful contribution to our goals, embrace responsibility, and thrive on perseverance!
Why from Spain?
Curiosity and perseverance are the driving forces behind Decos. That curiosity led us to search for talent beyond the borders of the Netherlands. Since January 2022, we have been offering Dutch nationals in Spain the opportunity to work remotely for us.
What can I expect?
We believe in empowerment and digital technologies. This means that you can work for Decos from abroad and have the flexibility to carry out your work in your own way.
How do we arrange this?
We have an establishment in Spain, without a physical location. This way, as an employee, you don't have to worry about labor laws, taxes, and social security. You work under Spanish laws and regulations, but many other employment conditions (such as the bonus scheme) are the same as your Dutch colleagues.

FAQ
Working for a Dutch company from Spain may sound complicated, but it's actually quite straightforward. Below, we provide answers to some frequently asked questions.
To work for Decos from Spain, you need to apply for a NIE (Número de Identificación de Extranjero) number. The NIE number is required for non-Spanish citizens residing or working in Spain and is used for tax purposes and compliance with legislation. Decos expects you to arrange your NIE number yourself. For all contractual matters, Decos collaborates with an in-country partner to ensure that your contract complies with Spanish laws and regulations.
During your first weeks at Decos, you'll receive the same onboarding as colleagues in the Netherlands, but conducted remotely. You'll be assigned a buddy who you can turn to for all your questions and an onboarding guide detailing whom to contact for various queries. For the first two weeks, all meetings will be scheduled for you, after which you'll coordinate with your product owner to determine which meetings to attend. The only thing you'll miss out on is a dive into the ball pit!
If you're working from Spain, your workweek is exactly the same as your Dutch colleagues'. All meetings can be attended online. Your Dutch colleagues also frequently work from home, so it doesn't matter whether you're in Noordwijk, Leiden, or Spain during meetings. The only difference is that you can enjoy your break sitting out on the terrace in the sun!
At Decos, we also offer the opportunity for remote development. You'll receive a training budget, and you'll participate in the same (online) training sessions as your colleagues. Interested in advancing to another position? No problem! If the role can be performed remotely, we're happy to assist you in taking that step.
If you're working for Decos in Spain, you'll fall under Spanish employment conditions and Spanish labor law. Additionally, you're entitled to the same bonus scheme as your Dutch colleagues
