Why from Spain?
Curiosity and perseverance are the driving forces behind Decos. That curiosity led us to search for talent beyond the borders of the Netherlands. Since January 2022, we have been offering Dutch nationals in Spain the opportunity to work remotely for us.

We have an establishment in Spain, without a physical location. This way, as an employee, you don't have to worry about labor laws, taxes, and social security. You work under Spanish laws and regulations.

FAQ
Working for a Dutch company from Spain may sound complicated, but it's actually quite straightforward. Below, we provide answers to some frequently asked questions.
We primarily focus on prospective employees who are already established in Spain and seeking a new challenge! We assume you already have a NIE number. The NIE number is required for non-Spanish residents living or working in Spain to pay taxes and comply with regulations.
During your initial weeks at Decos, you will undergo the same onboarding process as your colleagues in the Netherlands, but remotely. You will be assigned a buddy to answer all your questions and provided with an onboarding guide detailing who to contact for various inquiries. All meetings will be scheduled for you during the first two weeks, after which you will coordinate with your product owner to decide which meetings to attend. The only thing you’ll miss is a dive into the ball pit!
When working from Spain, your workweek will mirror that of your Dutch colleagues. All meetings can be attended online. Since your Dutch colleagues frequently work from home, it makes no difference whether you are in Noordwijk, Leiden, or Spain during meetings. The only difference is that you can enjoy your break on a sunny terrace!
At Decos, we also offer opportunities for remote professional development. You will have access to a training budget that you can use in consultation with your product owner and HR. We aim for you to participate in as many of the same trainings as your colleagues in the Netherlands, but online. If you wish to further develop your skills, it is important that this be in an area or domain that can be managed remotely. If so, we are happy to support you in taking that step.
